Our official name is Catalyst, which we have chosen because we feel that it is our duty personally and as Christians to be catalysts for change. Our meaning for the word “Catalyst” is: “a person or thing that stimulates an event or change.” We were never created to remain stagnant or to dwell in one state for too long. God created us to make a difference in the lives of others, to assist in His will to change their lives and be changed in ours as well. We stand for worshipping God through media and the uses of our talents, which demands a life truly set apart. Our lives and the lives of others can be changed by the simple act of giving his/or her time and talent back to the One Who gave it in the first place. These acts and choices are what stimulates real change.

This ministry’s vision is to see media being used in all that we do to bring glory and honor to His name, and by utilizing all our available resources in a manner that is conducive to bring our congregation and ministers to a higher level of excellence through expectations of accountablilty, servanthood, and most importantly a passion for Christ.

Our goal is to not just inform Christ’s followers of the happenings inside and outside of the church, but to help them in seeing Christ more clearly for Who He is and what He can do in and through us. We want to promote and sharpen all of the talents God has placed in each and every one of us through chances to use those talents for His glory. We want this ministry to strive for excellence in “whatever we do, and work at it with all of our hearts, as working for the Lord, and not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)

The Multimedia Ministry is a unique way to impact the Body of Christ, especially in supporting other ministries through certain aspects of media, such as shooting footage, creating, editing, and showcasing videos, generating presentations, conducting media support, journalistic publications, and photographic documentation. All of these aspects are equally important in providing a strong foundational support for our church and its ministers.

One of our main focuses is our website component, which deals with updating our church’s website. This includes uploading sermons, videos, pictures, newsletters, and updating the calendar of events. We are continually looking for new ways to advance our website and keep up with all of the latest happenings on the web.

We are also partnering with the Events Planning Ministry on a regular basis in providing dynamic and exciting media presentations that promote a deepening relationship with Christ and His followers. These opportunities give us a chance to bless our church members by showcasing or recapping our church’s events. These presentations stand as a way to remember where God has brought us from and where He is leading us to.

With today’s technological world, there is no better way to minister than through media, so we place great value in each of our members and the team as a whole in fulfilling our purpose in that. And we are always looking forward to God growing our team and expanding His kingdom. So, we are constantly keeping an eye out for fun, energetic, servant-hearted team players to partner with us in this vital ministry.
