 Pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

We firmly believe that prayer is the backbone of our church. And in all things we should be praying and listening. God is a prayer-answering God and He can be trusted to be faithful always. In Intercessory Prayer we gather as one body and come boldly before His throne to intercede for those who are in need of healing, who are struggling, who are in difficult circumstances, some who are fighting for their homes and families, who are fighting despair, fear, worry or depression, those who are in need of jobs, and so much more beyond these. Our prayers not only go out for those in our own church family but also for our communities, our coworkers, our friends and family, our state, our nation, other countries and even the world as a whole. Our goal is to be a church that loves and cares like Jesus. We believe that when we pray we open the door for God to work, not only in the lives of others but in our own lives as well.

In so many ways intercession means to turn our minds away from our own personal needs and instead focus them towards the needs of others. Above all prayer is a place to meet with God; this is God’s wonderful design. Prayer links us to God and also to one another when we pray in one accord before Him. God is the only one who can make a difference in the lives of those for whom we are praying for. By interceding on other people’s behalf we can partner with God in making a difference in their lives. It is said that as soon as we cry out to God during the battle, that whatever the battle may be, it ultimately becomes God’s and not ours. So, we need to be in a constant prayer battle for those whom we are praying for, so their battle is un-relinquished unto God. Prayer helps us to remember that above all things the battle that we fight is God’s and that he will fight on our behalf.

We always start our intercessions off with worshipping and thanking our Lord and Savior. And by attributing worth to our God in worship, heaven is moved and God’s presence is known. Then we proceed into powerful, Spirit-filled intercession. God never fails to show up and always moves within our meetings. We always claim the victory in His name and praise Him for the answered prayers. But we also have to listen in expectancy and wait for His timing to be revealed. Real praying, the kind that allows God to get His hands on our hearts is what brings results! So, we urge you to gather with us in making His desires our own as we proceed in faith and intercede together.

We meet for Intercessory Prayer every Thursday at 6:30pm and Pre-Service Prayer on Sundays at 9:30pm. We would love for you to join us!
