Couples Connected in Christ Marriage Ministry is centered around couples growing more deeply in God, in friendship with one another and in fellowship with other couples. We want to continue to build, enhance and restore relationships through Christian principles. Our ultimate goal is to support God’s intent for marriage through teaching married couples how the Word of God applies to their lives and relationships. We are a network of couples who through encouragement and fellowship work towards building stronger marriages that honor God. We believe that God designed marriage as an instrument to make us more like Christ. Through a firm foundation based on a Christ-centered relationship a marriage will develop into a stronger and healthier union between two people. After all marriage is God’s idea, his beautiful design for companionship and intimacy, and therefore should be respected and nurtured into its full capacity as it was created to be.

Through marriage we can learn so many things about ourselves, our partners and our Creator. So, much of what exists between husband and wife also exists between God and the church. These two relationships are so similar in their purpose and meaning. Husbands are urged to lay down their lives in sacrificial love and protection, just as God has done for us. And in this safe and cherished embrace of a loving husband, what wife wouldn’t be willing to submit to his leadership? In the same way the church is to submit to God’s loving authority.

In marriage we discover so much of what God has intended for our lives. He teaches about uncondit

ional love, honoring one another, how to forgive, as well as how to accept forgiveness. We grow from His insight and the insight of others that He has placed in our lives. Through this ministry we can attest to God’s love and concern for our earthly and eternal happiness, by which he gives us the gift of marriage to learn and grow from. God desires for us to find a connection within another person that we can mold into a covenant that draws both persons closer to Him. But He never said that there wouldn’t be challenges or struggles in marriage but through those experiences and the support of other couples God will use those instances and people for us to deepen our love and connection with our husbands and wives.

The CCC Marriage Ministry holds quarterly get-togethers, such as date nights, movie nights or breakfasts’ in order to connect and grow with other couples. We also have marriage life groups that meet weekly. These groups provide a more intimate time of fellowship with topics such as “God’s Design for Intimacy,” “God’s Blueprint for Husbands and Wives,” and God’s design for Parents and Children,” and many more other studies as decided by the leaders.
