The name WAVE comes from Women Appointed by Virtue and Excellence. And that’s what we are… women that have been appointed by the authority of God to serve in virtue and excellence in our lives, families, relationships, jobs and ministries. As we root ourselves deeper in the Lord we find our relationships beginning to flourish. God wants us to find connections amongst His other daughters, so that way we can teach one another, learn from one another and ultimately grow with one another. And here at WAVE we love to spend time learning God’s word, worshipping Him and fellowshipping all together. Everything we do, we do for the Lord, but we do it together. This brings us not just closer to each other but even closer to God.

Our gatherings are on a quarterly basis but when we meet it is always a Spirit-filled experience. When we get together we begin and end each meeting in fellowship with our sisters in Christ and there is always delicious food involved. Then we devote time to prayer and worshipping the Lord, followed by an encouraging word from one of our fellow women in Christ, and then we end by spending quality time ministering to each other. We often times hold different events for the women such as Bunko Nights, Tea Time Gatherings, or Recipe Swaps. All of these events give us an opportunity to join together in one accord to praise our Father in Heaven and to grow our relationships with one another. Thank God for the support of other women and the joy we can bring into each other’s lives through actively living our lives out through Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to encourage, equip and grow every woman into realizing her own potential and worth found in her identity in Jesus Christ. We want to reveal to women how to make Jesus more real in their lives, how they can benefit from the experiences of other women and how God works to reveal himself through our relationships with others. When we meet it is a wonderful opportunity to captivate women in exploring the Word of God and in applying it to their everyday lives. We encourage women to serve as an example of willingness, reaching out towards other women, either as a councelor, encourager, or role model. This will allow women to connect not just through relationships but in learning as well.

And being that we are the women of today we are constantly being pulled in many different directions. The balancing act of family, work, ministries and living for God can leave us in a whirlwind. But God wants to calm our lives and heal our fears; He wants us to know we are His Rare Jewels and His Princesses. When the world knocks on our door and tells us different, we need to run to our Father! Come join our Women’s Ministry as we’re drawn near to God, dive into his Word and Worship Him! He made us in His Image; we ARE fearfully and wonderfully made! Hope to see you at our next event!
